Hosting

This website is operated on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (data processing on behalf pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). When the website is accessed, technically necessary data (IP address, time, page accessed, browser) is processed in server log files in order to ensure operation and security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

No tracking cookies, no external fonts

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Fonts and scripts are loaded from our own server. For logged-in editors, WordPress sets technically necessary cookies.

Visitor statistics

To find out which pages of our website are used and how often, we count page views using our own method that runs exclusively on our server. No cookies are set, no IP addresses are stored and no user profiles are created; no data is passed on to third parties. Only aggregated daily figures are stored: the page accessed, the hour of access, the type of device (computer, tablet, smartphone) and, when you enter the website, its source in general form (e.g. “Google” or the domain of the referring website). It is not possible to draw conclusions about individual persons. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing our website according to demand (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Registrations and contact forms

If you register as a visitor or exhibitor, book a stand or contact us, we process your details in order to organise the event or to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, for bookings to perform the contract). The data is stored in our website database and sent to our team by email. It is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the event and there are no statutory retention obligations (e.g. for invoices).

Newsletter

Only if you explicitly tick the box will we inform you about the Wiener Abwassertage by email (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Maps (OpenStreetMap)

Maps are only loaded when you click “Load map”. Your IP address is then transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can lodge complaints with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
